Four Latvian companies among Baltic 30 most valuable / Article
Among them, Swedbank Baltics, a Latvian company that brings together Swedbank Group companies in the Baltics, is ranked fourth. The company is worth EUR 4.345 billion, up 28% compared to 2023.
Latvenergo AS is ranked fifth with a value of EUR 4.024 billion, up 38% year-on-year.
In 11th place is JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” with a value of €1.657 billion, down 25%, and in 24th place is SIA “Mikrotīkls” with a value of €991.7 million, down 16%.
The same Latvian companies were also included in the Baltic Top 30 for 2023, including Swedbank Baltics and Latvenergo, which have retained their places in the top 30, while Latvia’s State Forests was ranked 9th and Mikrotīkls 15th a year earlier.
The top three positions in the 2024 ranking are occupied by Lithuanian companies, as in the previous year. Revolut Holdings Europe is in first place with a value of €6.91 billion, up 17% from second place in 2023.
In second place, moving up from third place, is Vilniaus Prekyba with a value of €4.817 billion, an increase of 19%, while in third place, slipping from first place in 2023, is the Lithuanian biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltic with a value of €6.181 billion, a decrease of 13%.
The total value of the Baltic Top 30 companies reached €60.4 billion, up €5.2 billion year-on-year, representing an increase of 9.3%.
Of the companies included in this year’s Baltic Top 30, 11 are registered in Lithuania, nine in Estonia, four in Latvia and six have registered offices in more than one Baltic country.
The list of the most valuable companies in the three Baltic States – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – was compiled by experts from Confidentus, Prudentia and Nasdaq offices in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius, who carried out financial analysis based on publicly available information on the companies’ operations and management.
